MOJO COVER DESCRIPITON

This is a Neil Young poster that honours him by placing him at the centre of the image, giving him prominence. Because of his little smile, he is meant to seem kind, caring, and lovely, but not too wild. Because of his long hair, he is made to look hippie and alternative, as long hair is uncommon in guys. The beautiful golden hour sunshine adds to this, emphasising his laid-back demeanour and the casual nature of his music and attitude. Because he is in the precise centre of the screen, the musician is made to look significant, calling our attention to him immediately away and displaying his confidence and pride. There are also beautiful sky in the backdrop which makes the whole scene look much calmer and more peasfull.

There's also blue sky in the backdrop, hinting that he's a cheerful person listening to exciting music. The red/orange lighting on Neil's face is visually appealing since it compliments the red fonts used throughout the magazine. Here's another photograph of an elderly man with a grey beard. Because to the choice of drab colours like grey, black, and brown, as well as the basic lighting and darkening of half of his face, he seems average and unattractive.

The cover is fairly crowded, with a lot of 'right in your face' information. Neil Young is printed in capital letters, emphasising that he is an important part of this publication. The sentences are well-organized and to the side; none of them hide his face; rather, they go behind him, emphasising his significance. Most music magazines have around the same amount of cover lines as this one, although not all of them are as well-organized. "You go with it when the music calls," he explains, exhibiting his calm demeanour and readiness to go with the flow.

"In his own field, from harvest to barn" Because it is a harvest pun, this suggests that the magazine has some comedy. "field of his own" implies that he may be unorthodox, having his own musical style and genre. Because the lighting is yellowish, the main colours are yellow and black, and the typeface is yellow and red to suit the lighting. The accent colours are orange and black since there isn't much of it but enough to catch the eye. This has a cover mount, which is unusual for mojo.
