O2 MUSIC VIDEO

I have watched Teenage Dirtbag by Wheats and made a comic using ComicLife in class. It is about a typical high school in a suburban neighbourhood with a caste ranking from bullies to the nerds. 

The plot of this song is about a young boy who is bullied throughout all of high school due to him not meeting the expectations of a typical high school jock boy, he is also always trying to impress a certain girl who is in love with the jock. But this jock bullies all of the people who are not part of his group. Eventually the girl realises how much of a Dirtbag this boy is to everyone else including our main character, and she goes to the nerd at the school prom and asks him to dance.

The reason why the main singer of Wheats wrote this song because of a very traumatic moment of his life when a person died in his town due to suicide in a forest doing voodoo. Wheats was a very young boy when this event happened so not only was this very traumatic for a young boy to hear but also Wheats was also into the same genre of music as the person who died so he was bullied at school for having these same intrusts e.g. he listened to Iron Maiden (Rock Band).

The Cold War:

From the Observer, I have learnt that in the mid-1960’s everyone was worried about the Cold War. The Cold War was a period of geopolitical tension between the United States and the Soviet Union and their respective allies, the Western Bloc and the Eastern Bloc, which began following World War II. People were scared because of the threat of a nuclear war, invasion and a clash of international superpowers.
